Example

Why it matters

For anyone working from home, broadband and signal can matter as much as the number of bedrooms. They’re also part of the material information agents are expected to give buyers.

Check before you rely on it

Ofcom’s predictions are for the postcode, not the individual address. Thick walls, hills and trees change indoor signal. On a viewing, check your phone in the rooms you’d use most, and confirm broadband availability with providers for the exact address.

Is the broadband speed guaranteed?

No. It is a predicted maximum. Actual speed depends on the package and the line.

Does it cover 5G?

The report shows data coverage for each network. Check the network’s own checker for 5G at the address.
