About this data

Nearest isn’t the same as catchment
Admission rules are set by each council or academy trust. Distance is often a tie-breaker, but siblings, faith and feeder schools can come first, and catchment areas change. Before you buy for a particular school:
- Read the school’s admissions policy
- Check last year’s furthest distance offered
- Read the latest Ofsted report
- Ask the council’s admissions team
Distances are straight-line. Walking routes will be longer.
Questions we get asked
Does living nearest guarantee a place?
No. Each school’s admissions policy decides, and distance is usually one criterion among several.
Why is the distance different from my maps app?
The report measures in a straight line from the plot. Road and footpath routes are longer.
Does the report include Ofsted ratings?
Check the latest report on the Ofsted website, which also shows the inspection date.
